The main purpose of this research is to present an Islamic-Iranian lifestyle promotion model in IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) with a focus on TV dramas. This is a qualitative data-based research conducted through the basic conceptualization procedure. Using purposive sampling and snowball technique, fourteen people,including grand clerics (marja’), ministers of previous governments, faculty members of universities, and experienced people in IRIB (TV field),are selected through in-depth semi-structured interviews. Next, the data are analyzed and interpreted through open, axial and selective codification. The research findings show that television performs three functions in prompting theIslamic-Iranianlifestyle in TV dramas.Thefirst function identified in the study isproviding the intermediary elements of bloomingthe Islamic-Iranianlifestyle. The second function is presenting the features of the national culture and ethnic-local semi-cultures. Finally, using threestrategies of avoiding contradiction, cognition of the represented lifestyle and research in media and audience assessmentis the third function of television in promptingIslamic-Iranianlifestyle that is identified in the present study.
